FUN GAME TO LEARN VOCABULARY

Let me start by saying that I consider that games play an essential role in developing speaking, listening, writing and reading skills. Moreover, it is a motivating technique to teach our students.
From my point of view, the most important pedagogical values of games are:
1. Students are able to learn new vocabulary and new structures through the process of playing games: it is known that students need a lot of practice to internalize new concepts, ideas, vocabulary, and structures. Nevertheless, if our students are not motivated, the practice cannot be meaningful. Through lively games, we get that they repeatedly use the vocabulary and structures.
2. Games are used to reduce the students’ anxiety.
3. Students acquire a variety of important skills by playing games. For example, speaking listening, critical thinking skills, creativity, and teamwork.
4. Games facilitate learning and provide sensory experiences for students.
5. Games grab students’ attention and immerse them in their tasks.
6. Through games, it is possible to break routines and create a good atmosphere.

To sum up, I would like to point up that as I mentioned before,  using games in our classrooms is very beneficial for our students. They are able to learn and have fun at the same time.

That´s why I decided to create this amazing game.

Basically, it´s like the shopping list game but this time the vocabulary that you work with is related to the house. Each player takes a track and a list. The cards are spread out face-down on the table. Players turn over the cards in turn. If on their list the card goes into their track, otherwise it is replaced face-down on the table. The game continues until one player has made the move with all the things on their list.
